David Lang
Marriage Celebrant & MC
Hey! I'm Dave!
The most important thing you need to know about me is that I love LOVE! I'm also experianced, energetic, and everyone's best friend. I do take my duties as a marriage celebrant very seriously but am not adverse to a laugh or two or maybe even more. I. Don't. Do. Boring. Ceremonies. In fact, I can't stand them. We're literally there to celebrate you two being IN LOVE! ( And of we can't have fun doing that, then when can we right?! )
On your wedding day I'm the friendly face helping to calm your nerves and make sure your ceremony runs smoothly. Trust me, I've been fortunate enough to marry over 500 couples, I've got you!
I am a member of The Australian Marriage Celebrants Inc. and an Australian Bridal Service Accredited Business.
Before becoming a marriage celebrant I have had a successful career as an actor, singer and presenter, graduating with a Bachelor of Theatre Theory and Practice (Acting) from Theatre Nepean at UWS in 2004. I've been performing since the age of 6, starting in school plays and musicals at St Ignatius Riverview eventually becoming Vice Capitan of Music in 2001. My performing career has spanned into presenting, MC'ing, childrens theatre, cruise ships, television series and commercials, voiceover, directing and tour managing.
As a singer/songwriter I am the music ambassador for the World Kindness Organisation and my song ‘Won’t Crack Now’ is the organisations international theme song. I am also the Australian voice over artist for UNICEF television and radio commercials.
I met my wonderful wife in a touring theatre production in 2010, I asked her to marry me in 2013 and I was approved to become a marriage celebrant whilst we were on our honeymoon in 2015. Since then I've been fortunate enough to have officiated hundreds of wedding ceremonies and even managed to score gigs in seasons 8, 9 and 10 of Married At First Sight, doing the weddings of Brett and Booka, Andrew and Holly and Rupert and Evelyn, as well as being featured on 7 News and Sunrise!.
Read enough? Awesome.
Now, let's get you married!
